Carragher: Liverpool gap to PSG 'startling'

Jamie Carragher described the gulf between Liverpool and Paris St-Germain as 'startling,' claiming the Reds should have lost the first leg by five or six goals.

Carragher believes Liverpool failed tactically under Arne Slot's back five, which left Virgil van Dijk 'uncomfortable' and unable to perform at his best. He highlighted Ibrahima Konate's errors as a contributing factor to the team's struggles.

The former defender praised PSG for an 'out of this world' performance, comparing them to Pep Guardiola's Barcelona. Carragher noted that despite the heavy defeat, the result might be viewed as a positive given the potential scoreline.
